About
Just Ship Now is made by Alex Cloudstar, a solo full-stack developer and solopreneur.
I stepped away from building for a while. Burnout does that. I'm back now, for real.
This site started as notes on shipping, written before I had anything to point to. It's grown into a curated tools directory for indie hackers, founders, startups, and developers, the tools I actually use or trust. That's the main thing here now.
The blog and newsletter are still around, they just back up the directory instead of being the point: notes on what shipped, what broke, what I decided not to build, and why.
What's live right now: makers.page, a directory for indie builders, still getting commits. imviral.lol and imadeit.wtf, both shipped and out in the world. And client work running alongside all of it, for founders who want their own product built the same way.
Track record
Eight years shipping production software for other people, most recently E.ON, ING, Warner Bros., and HCL Technologies. Of those eight years, the last two went to shipping my own stuff instead.
HackerNoon named me Contributor of the Year in both React and TypeScript, 2021. Everyday stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Tailwind CSS.
Product Hunt history
Joined Product Hunt in June 2021. Launches so far, most recent first: SnapPoint, Makers Page, SQUAD IN SYNC, Product Hunt Wrapped 2025, Cross Write, CoLaunchly (relaunched as CoLaunchly 2.0), and PilotFisc.
That list only covers what went through Product Hunt. imviral.lol and imadeit.wtf are more recent, and never went through it.
