Now maintained by Shopify. Leans hard into web standards and progressive enhancement, particularly good for form-heavy apps and anything that needs to stream data to the UI.

Fine-grained reactivity without a virtual DOM, noticeably faster for state-heavy, real-time UIs. Smaller ecosystem but a legitimate pick if performance is the priority.

Smaller bundles and faster runtime than the React-based options, at the cost of a smaller ecosystem and fewer ready-made component libraries.
