ORM
Type-safe ways to talk to your database.
An ORM or query builder sits between your application code and your database, giving you type safety and a friendlier API instead of raw SQL strings. Some are full ORMs with migrations and schema management built in; others are thinner query builders that stay closer to SQL. The right choice depends on how much abstraction you want and which database you're already using.
Drizzle ORM
A SQL-shaped, zero-dependency ORM with no codegen step, and the current favorite for serverless/edge deployments where Prisma's runtime felt too heavy.
↗Kysely
A type-safe SQL query builder rather than a full ORM, for when you want Postgres-level control with autocomplete instead of an abstraction layer.
