Locize
Continuous localization service from the team behind i18next. Ships new translations to production over a CDN without a redeploy.
What is Locize?
Locize is a hosted translation management platform built by the same team behind i18next, designed to plug directly into it. Instead of shipping new translations as part of a code deploy, translators (or an in-context editor) update strings through Locize's dashboard, and the app pulls them from a CDN at runtime, so new copy or a fixed typo in a translation goes live without a redeploy.
Key features
- Deep, first-party integration with i18next, since the same team maintains both
- In-context editing: translators can edit strings directly on the live page instead of working from a spreadsheet
- CDN-delivered translations that update without a rebuild or redeploy
- Translation memory, versioning, and workflow tools for coordinating multiple translators or reviewers
- Machine-translation fallback for languages that don't have a human translation yet
Who it's for
Teams already on i18next who want a real translation workflow (versioning, in-context editing, non-developer contributors) instead of manually managing JSON files. Overkill for a project with one or two languages and infrequent copy changes, where hand-managed translation files are simpler.
Pricing
Free tier for small projects, with paid plans that scale by word/character volume and number of languages.
